The M44 pump is the circulation pump for the charge air cooler. A Mercedes workshop would use the STAR to start the pump.

Now I have a G400 CDI, and it starts up fine when warm, but not so good when cold. When I start runs for a few seconds then turns off. I have to keep the revs up when i start and then once warm, stays on. Once on car drivers perfectly fine. Literally only has issues on cold starting. These are the things that I have done to try and rectify Problem.
