Due to a HDMI fault with my HDR-FOX T2 I have acquired another one. I want to simply transfer the whole hard drive from the old one to the new one. Before removing the hard drive from the old T2, I decrypted all the HD recordings using the web interface of the custom firmware. I queued all the HD recordings for decryption and let it complete.

Recordings made on an HD-FOX can be decrypted without temporarily forcing it to run HDR-FOX firmware and therefore becoming inoperable for other purposes; Users of HD-FOX and HDR-FOX previously unaware of the issues with decryption, who find their unit has failed and the recordings on the HDD are unplayable when exported, can now be helped to Apr 28, 2013. #2. Latest firmware is 1.00.28 and is available from here. Copy the hdf file from the zip into the root folder of a FAT formatted USB stick. Turn on the TV and switch to the Humax input. Put the Humax into standby using the remote or the button on the front panel. Plug the USB stick containing the HDF file into the USB port.Firmware update for this version is only necessary in specific scenarios: when the game console is Xbox Series X|S or PS5 and the screen connected to LGP2+ supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). Please note that LGP2+ itself does not support VRR functionality, but updating the firmware can prevent black screen or no signal issues.

The HDR-FOX uses an internal HDD for recording and media storage, and has additional capabilities over the HD-FOX. The obvious means to transfer data to and from an HDR-FOX is via the USB interface to external storage. The HDR-FOX provides two USB ports (one on the front panel, the other on the rear below the Ethernet port), so has far less Then used the samsung all share application to copy the .ts HD file over to my computer as an avi file, whilst another machine was copying the .ts file over via the FTP link as well. P.S. Works best with direct link into your router rather than over wifi as transfer speeds are faster over LAN cable of course. gODtK.
