The heat for the air comes off your coolant running through the heater core in the dash. So you won't have any heat until the engine warms up, but if your cars not overheating and the cooling system is working fine then it sounds like its an electrical problem kinda like what the dealership is saying. None of the Audio functions would show up on the display when I pressed the Audio button. When I pressed the Menu button I could get to the Telephone menu.

On vehicles from E-series E53, E60, E61, E63, E64, E65, E66, E67, E70 and E83, a slight tapping noise may be heard when the residual heat function is active. This is caused by the control mechanism for the hot water feed (water valve) to Low/bad battery cause all sorts of strange issues on this car. Check voltage supply with/out running engine. If good and reasonable charged it should show a bit over 12V without engine and 13.5 - 14.5 isch with engine. There is tons of info on battery caused issues to be found on the post.
My 07 328xi is having some issues. My engine is overheating and I have no heat inside the car. I***8217;d let the car run for 10 minutes and no heat inside. However if I drive for 30 seconds my engine will overheat and I***8217;ll get a light on my dash. I can probably make it 100 feet before it happens again.
BMW 328i A/C not working. I'm having at 2009 328i.Recently,its ac stopped working. Now it blows hot air through the ac vents. A month ago, about the same situation occured , but got the ac working again after fidling with the ac controls.Since then i did not touch the temperature controls.just ac on or off (apart from the fan speed). The passenger side heats up properly and at 28 degrees you can really feel the heat. But at 28 on the driver's side, it still feels like just cold air blowing (although slightly warmer than when at 16 degrees. I've already had my car at a trusted mechanic various times, for the following: To replace the heater core; To replace the thermostat

Hey just wondering if this has happened to anyone or if this can be related to the other E92 platforms as the actual airconditioning unit should be the same. Everything turns on and if you leave it on for awhile you can tell the condensor is still working

Right now, if I set both driver and passenger sides to the coldest setting, cold air comes out the passenger vents and ambient temp. air seems to come from the driver's side (ie: it's not cold but it doesn't appear to be heated either). If I turn the driver's side to the hottest setting, heated air will come from the driver's side air vents. 1
If you can't see the barb because it is a solid plug, you could try using a pin from the open end (not the wire end) and push it down between the connector pin and the plastic hole which it is in and try to push the barb down, whilst gently pulling the wire back out at the same time. Don't pull too hard because you might pull the wire out (if

If a good bulb doesn't light and the socket isn't corroded, check the trunk to trunk lid wiring where it bends most sharply approaching the trunk lid. You can slide down the black sheath to inspect the wiring. The wires have too small of a bending radius, and eventually crack and break 1. Not Enough Coolant Your BMW uses coolant to keep your engine at its ideal operating temperature (especially during the hot months). During the winter when you have your heater turned on the coolant from the engine is used in the heater core. The heater core is what blows warm air through your vents.

BMW has used this stratified air set-up for multiple decadeswhere the driver can temper the air from the dash vents warmer/cooler. This can help the driver stay alert on long trips by blowing cooler air toward their face, while the passengers can remain nice and warm on the family trip to the Alps. 2.
